Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress. Known for her work in TV and film from the mid-80s onwards, she's won numerous awards like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett born in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt, who was born to New York New York, is an acclaimed actress. Bassett's mother had split from her father when she was around five. Her younger sister later went from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was a fan of James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play while she was still in high school, and realised that she was an actor and was looking to pursue. Yale University New Haven Connecticut awarded her a bachelor's degree (1980), in African American study, and an honorary doctorate (1983) in the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale and, in 1997 they were married. Qualification: B.A. the Yale School of Drama awarded an M.A. in Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett in the year. She was a student at the following schools: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for 7th graders, Azalea Middle School for 8th and 9th grades in addition to Boca Ciega High School.
